Born in Flint, Michigan, D’Shondra grew up surrounded by music, singing before she could even speak and being raised in the rich musical foundation of her grandfather’s church. Her gift was recognized early. At just 14, she was featured on Marvin Winans’ solo album, followed by a feature on Kirk Franklin’s “The Fight of My Life” at 17. She later appeared on Ricky Dillard’s “Breakthrough,” solidifying her place among gospel’s most respected voices.
During the pandemic, she stepped forward with her debut self-titled solo EP. “It was a hard time for everyone. I needed to sing,” she says, a reflection of her heart, her healing, and her desire to offer hope through her music.
Beyond the stage, D’Shondra is committed to education and growth. She holds two college degrees: an Associate’s from Oakland University in Michigan and a B.S. in Business Management from Dean College in Massachusetts.
Today, she continues her creative journey while raising her son, Hunter Luke, who remains her greatest inspiration.
With a voice shaped by experience, faith, and resilience, D’Shondra is only just beginning, and the world is listening.
